Special Class with Denise Medved, Feb 12th in Phoenix!
Denise Medved, Nia Black Belt and trainer, Ageless Grace creator and trainer is based in North Carolina and will be visiting Phoenix to conduct an Ageless Grace certified training. I took the Ageless Grace certification in California last year and I was so excited that I convinced her to come and teach it here AND this very special Nia class as well.

PHOENIX: The Divine Spark, Sunday, December 18
The Divine Spark, Sunday, December 18, 4-6pm, Rm 114 First United Methodist Church, 5510 N. Central Ave. Registration fee: $20.00 Two hour workshop includes an extended Nia class, with floor play designed to aid the heart in letting go, releasing resentments and regrets into the darkness knowing they will be transformed. Participants will experience and receive materials to have their own solstice celebrations on December 21-22.

This workshop is at the beginning of December before international Nia teacher Esther Arends returns to the Netherlands. Look for more classes and workshops from this teacher next year.

In Phoenix Jam Theme: Spring Cleaning~Spring Awakening -- Using this time to clear our space (physical, emotional, mental, spiritual) in order to allow new sensations and new growth to appear!
Location: Desert Song Yoga and Massage Center, located near Central and Camelback at 4811 North 7th Street, Phoenix, Arizona. (602.265.8222). This beautiful studio is at the back of an office complex and is a few blocks from a Light Rail stop. Reservations: Sold by Desert Song. They take credit cards. $12 for early purchase and $15 at the door (if room available). Dear Friends: I have not been this excited for a long time.......On Friday March 25th and Saturday March 26th, Kelle Rae Oien will be coming to Tucson to do a Friday night Nia jam and a Saturday workshop. Kelle is a black belt Nia instructor from Santa Fe who is in preparing to become a certified trainer. Next year Kelle will be able to facilitate intensives and certify people for their white belt. Nia has opened up the doors to a new generation of trainers. Great news for all of us. This means an expansion of creativity and diversity in upcoming Nia routines. I first met Kelle in Santa Fe 6 months ago. After taking one of her classes, I was in Nia heaven, going deeper into sensation than I had ever before. Her unique style of Nia is heartfelt, fun-loving, and creative. Her workshops will further expand your sensory vocabulary and deepen your relationship with your body. She is, in one word, AMAZING. Betti Ahmed will be teaching a New to Nia Workshop at Metta Yoga in Phoenix on Sunday, March 27th, from 11am - 1pm. Betti says "Perfect for the novice and experienced Nia lover, we will be discussing history and technique of Nia and experiencing a full Nia class. My hope is to bring Nia to life at Metta Yoga and hopefully, add a class or two." You can sign up in advance at www.newmettayoga.com/Events.html. The event starts at 7pm and is completely FREE! I will be teaming up with a couple Zumba instructors to help promote the Zumba classes and my new Nia class at Just Breathe.
